I learned to use and manipulate resin during a long career in the surfboard industry, where I realized that I could work with resin in artistic ways.  The translucents of resin and the resulting elevated textures create a wonderfully unique image.

The subject matter that I draw from is mostly taken from the natural world.  The ocean, sky, flora & fauna are all subjects that work well with the resin medium.  I find that my artwork keeps evolving and my subject matter is expanding as I develop new techniques in using resin and combining it with various other mediums.

I really enjoy the challenge and have a lot of fun working with a unique and relatively unknown medium.  With that said, I’m always looking forward to starting my next painting.
